2 medium size jars
- 750 grams of watermelon (only the white part of the shells)
- 750 grams of powdered sugar
- 1/2 sweet spoon lemon salt
- 2 cloves
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 5 liters of water
- 200 grams of lime
How is it prepared?
Slice the white parts of the watermelon shells into apple slices.
Put 200 grams of lime in 5 liters of water and wait for 1 night.
The next day when the lime collapses, put the water on it carefully so that the shells are rough enough to pass over them.
Keep the shells in the lime water for about 6 hours.
After 6 hours, thoroughly wash the shells.
Mix water and sugar in a saucepan. Add the shells over and boil for 30 minutes.
Let it cool down for one night and boil for another 20 minutes the next day.
Put the cloves and cinnamon in the boil, and after waiting about 10 minutes, remove the cloves and cinnamon from the jam.
When you see that you have a consistency, take it from the preserve and fill it with jars and close it.
