    For the dough:

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 tablespoon instant maya
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/4 water glass melted butter
  • 1/2 cup warm lukewarm milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 sweet spoon salt

    For inside:

  • 150 grams of opium poppy
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 100 grams of kunefe cheese

Key point

If you are brewing dough in winter, the fermentation period will be a little longer. If you like sweeter flavors, you can prepare your donuts without adding cheese.

How is it prepared?

    For the dough:

  1. Get the flour into a deep bowl.

  2. Add all the ingredients on the dough and knead well.

  3. Transfer it into a clean container and cover it with a slightly damp cloth. Allow about 40 minutes to brew until it reaches twice the room temperature.

    For inside:

  1. Mix opium poppy, powdered sugar and olive oil in a deep bowl.

  2. Cut the künefe cheese in medium thickness and size so that it is not too thick.

    Merge phase:

  1. Take the yeast dough onto the lightly baked counter and open it to the middle size with the help of a roller.

  2. Then cut into long strips. Apply the opaque mixture you prepared with a brush.

  3. Place the cheese inside and wrap it and transfer it into the oiled muffin molds.

  4. Cook in a 180 degree oven for about 20-25 minutes until it turns red.
