for 4 people
- 120 grams of butter (cold, cut into cubes)
- 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 150 gram flour
- 1/2 tea spoon salt
- 6 tablespoon cold water
For the dough:
- 6 figs
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
When preparing the dough, take care that the butter is cold and that it is fully integrated with flour. The longer you wait for your dough in the cupboard, the more delicious it will be.
If you want to aromatize while cooking, you can put 1 branch of fresh rosemary on the galette.
How is it prepared?
Mix flour, salt and sugar in a bowl.
Add the butter to it and take care not to knead it with your fingertips. Continue this process until you have gathered your fingers together with your hand and immediately followed by a frangipani.
When the butter is blended well, add the water and mix. Then gather the dough before you knead it.
Wrap the dough that you have prepared and stretch it for about 40 minutes in the fridge.
Take out the dough you prepared between the two baking papers and thin it with the help of a roller.
Slice the figs and place the figs in the middle, leaving a gap around their edges.
Fold the edges into which you leave voids.
Sprinkle brown sugar over the figs. Then transfer the galette together with the baking sheet to the oven tray and cook the figs softly in the 180 degree oven until the dough is crisp.
After you take it out and relax at room temperature, you can enjoy it with pleasure. Bon Appetit.
