Caramelized Fruit


  • 1½ fl. sugar
  • 2 ounces of butter cold
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 piece of cinnamon wood
  • 2 carnations
  • 2 apples cut into four
  • 2 pears cut into four
  • 2 vanilla (fruits) cleaned cut into four
  • 1/2 fl. apple juice or orange juice
  • 4 pgs. Black rum
  • vanilla ice cream for serving

How to make?

For this sweet fruit salad, we clean the fruits, remove peel and pips, and cut into four.

Put in a non-stick pan the sugar on medium heat to melt, shaking the pan to avoid tingling on the edges. Once the sugar becomes candy add the cold butter and spices. Once the butter melts, add the fruits and mix them to caramel around.

Add the juice and the rum. Boil for 5, leave a little to cool. Serve them with vanilla ice cream.
